Weekend with the 2026 Lexus TX

This past weekend, I took the 2026 Lexus TX on a road trip to Okoboji, and I think it’s safe to say this is one of the most family-friendly SUVs I’ve ever driven. Between the comfort, space, and all the thoughtful features, it made the drive so easy and enjoyable.

The Drive

We hit the road Friday night, and since it’s getting dark earlier now, I was thankful for how well the TX looked out for me. The lane-keeping assist, adaptive headlights, and Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 really helped me stay centered and confident on the highway. The drive itself was super smooth and quiet, and I made it all the way there and halfway back before I even needed to fill up on gas. Not bad for a weekend getaway!

Space & Comfort

When it comes to packing, the TX can handle it all. We brought plenty of bags, snacks, and random weekend stuff, and still had room to spare. The third row made carpooling with family easy, and everyone had plenty of space to stretch out.

The third-row heated seats were a huge hit (especially since it was a chilly weekend). Up front, I had heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a spacious center console that fit everything, snacks, drinks, chargers, you name it. There are tons of cup holders, too, which is always a big plus when traveling.

The seats are seriously comfortable, and the fabric and materials are beautiful, soft, supportive, and really add to the luxury feel. Even after a few hours of driving, no one was uncomfortable.

I also loved the tri-zone climate control, which let everyone pick their own temperature (no arguing about who’s hot or cold!). The rear sunshades came in handy, too, especially for the backseat passengers when the sun started peeking in.

The trunk is huge, whether the third row is up or down. I even used the hands-free power liftgate a few times when loading up bags, just a quick wave of your foot, and it opens right up.

Even though it’s a big SUV, the TX is super easy to park. The 360° camera system, parking assist, and digital rearview mirror made tight spots a breeze, something I definitely appreciated when stopping for coffee or lunch on the way.

Tech & Design

Inside, the TX feels luxurious but still really practical. The panoramic sunroof makes the whole cabin feel bright and open, and the 14-inch touchscreen was perfect for using Apple CarPlay®. I had no idea where I was going, so the big screen definitely helped keep me on track.

Everyone loved the Mark Levinson® premium sound system, and with USB-C charging ports in every row, no one had to fight over who got to plug in next.

At night, the illuminated Lexus logos and ambient lighting gave the TX such a cool, modern vibe. Between that and how quiet the cabin is, it made for a really peaceful drive home.

Final Thoughts

After spending the weekend in the 2026 Lexus TX, I get why it’s such a popular pick. It’s stylish, easy to drive, packed with smart features, and has all the comfort and space you could want.

If you’re looking for a luxury SUV that’s just as practical as it is pretty and one your whole family will love, this one’s worth checking out.
